Last Monday we started PARCC Testing, however it was postponed for 6th graders due to a problem with the internet. We will resume testing the Tuesday and Wednesday (3/31 and 4/1) when we return from Spring Break. With all of the chaos and confusion with the internet your students were amazing and were extremely patient. I am very proud of all of them and could not have asked for a better group to test with.
Last Saturday was an epic day in math world. It was Pi Day. Pi is a number (3.141592653) that is used in math for calculations with circles. It is represented by a Greek symbol and is special because the number is infinite and never repeats. Well, Pi Day was even more epic then normal because this year the first 10 digits were aligned, which will never happen for another 100 years! So on 3.14.15 at 9:26 I asked that students take a selfie of them and a clock then submit it to me on my website. I had so many wonderful pictures submitted!
I would love to share them all and am awaiting approval from the kids to have them on the Neal Website!
Parent Teacher Conferences
Parent Teacher conferences are Thursday and Friday of this week. Thursday the times are 3:30 until 7:30 p and on Friday from 8:30 until 11a. I would love to meet and see each and every one of you. Your students and their growth are so important to me and you are an essential part of their support system. Having them see you speaking to their teachers about how wonderful they are and where they need some extra support does so much for your student. It boost their confidence, shows them how important their education is to you, and how important their education is to their future.
I look forward to see all of you!
As always please feel free to contact me!
